Department of Philosophy was started in the year 1952, with the introduction of BA degree course. We are proud of being the first Degree Department of this prestigious institution. The faculty has three members as teaching staff. The faculty members are engaged in doctoral research. The department has had the fortune of having on it’s staff, scholars of national and international reputation like Prof. G. Sukumaran Nair, who distinguished himself as President of Indian Philosophy Association, and Prof. Abraham Nitheri.
