     DEPARTMENT OF FOOD SCIENCE AND QUALITY CONTROL    

    

Retrospect: The Department started functioning in 1995 under the sponsorship of the UGC as a vocational course.   The first batch of students passed out in 1998. Majority of them were absorbed in Food and Food related Industries and Research Laboratories. Some of them are working as Quality Control Professionals. The course is now being run on a self financing basis from March 2000 onwards.  

Profile: The department is handled by suitably qualified Guest Lecturers. The students are provided many opportunities to get in touch with the current developments. Seminars and Workshops sponsored by agencies are conducted with this in mind.
