The challenge before the civil society and the state is to redefine its role Vis-a Vis each other and approach to development. Any process of development needs to be such that it should create the 'social base' and 'civic consciousness' needed for greater well being and justice in our society. A clear cut vision,innovative leadership and good infrastructural services are the essential inputs needed for integrated action leading to the progress of a society.
Our college, one of the foremost among the institutions of higher learning, strives to materialize the visionary zeal of its great founder, Bharatkesari Sri Mannath Padmanabhan to provide quality education to all sections of society irrespective of caste and creed and to inculcate in them human values like truth, mutual love and non-violence. Our motto is 'lead me from darkness to light to serve the country and society'. Its exhortation is 'Where the mind is without fear and the head held high, where knowledge is free, O God, let my country awake'. It not only promotes and reflects the vision of freedom and development but acts as a living organism to support and sustain it.
The need to expand the system of higher education, the impact of technology on educational delivery, the increasing participation in education and the consequent shift in the values are the foundations on which we have to function. While serving the cause of social justice, ensuring equity and increasing access to higher education have been our objectives to contributing to national development, at the same time developing internationally and inter culturally competent human resources.
