The Ball Badminton, Cricket, Foot-ball, Tennis, Shuttle badminton, and other teams have distinguished themselves by emerging victorious in the M.G. University tournaments.
The College Cricket Team won the prestigious University Crown in the past. The Men and Women Ball Badminton teams have become the pride of the College by emerging victorious in the University Championships for the past of years. Prof G. Harikumar is doing yeoman service is keeping the teams in top condition. The women's team virtually represents the MG University team which is the All India Champion for the past 6 years. Our women players also represent the Kerala State Senior team which regularly wins the National Crown. Sandhya won the prestigious star of India award this year. Sheena won this award in the Junior category. Manjusha O.T was selected the most safe player in the women's section in the All-India Inter Varsity Ball Badminton tournament 2005-06. The women's team has bagged many trophies for the college.
S. Anish became a member of the Kerala Ranji Trophy team. S. Vineeth played for the Kerala under 19 team for the past two years. Siraj Mon A. K is the first player from the college to captain the MG University cricket team at Osmania. The college also contributes players to the University Cricket team. Togi is a regular member of the MG University shuttle Badminton team.Promod Kumar was a member of the M.G University Ball BAdminton team and Represented Kerala in the Senior Inter State Championships. The football team has won many accolades for the institution. The Annual Sports and Games Competitions generate a lot of interest and helps in unearthing a lot of talented sportsmen. |
